Biography
1953 Born in Osaka City. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Fine Arts.
1982 Worked at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts Conservation and Restoration Technology Laboratory (until 1987)
Engaged in the research and conservation and restoration of Buddha statues by wood carving.
2002 “The Great Buddha's Eyes Opened in 1250: Satoji Yabuuchi in Todaiji Temple-Sun and Flower-” (Todaiji Temple King Bell Hall)
2003 "Kurayoshi: Green Sculpture Award" "21st Hirakushi Tanaka Award"
2005 Special Exhibition “Satoshi Yabuuchi's World Exhibition in Daigoji” (Daigoji Reihokan Gallery and Sakura Garden)
2007 "The World of Satoji Yabuuchi in Kofukuji-Kofuku Doji Autumn Festival-" (Kofukuji Honbonai Daiendo East Room North Garden)
